Duquesne Univesity's professional Forensic Science and Law
fraternity is sponsoring the Ninth Annual Forensic and Law
workshop. The three day workshop will be held on July
16-18, 2012. 20 high school students will be chosen to

Pittsburgh Tissue Engineering Initiative-High
School Internship, 2012
Opportunity for two or more high school Juniors/Seniors who
will spend five weeks learning about tissue engineering research,
technologies, and scientific investigations, in general. A
$1000 award will be given to each student. Any Allegheny
County high school Junior or Senior is welcome to apply, with
special interest given to students from the McKeesport and
Pittsburgh Public School districts.

Program
Specifically designed for advanced high school and first-year
college students, the Faith and Reason Summer Program offers
participants a unique Catholic college immersion experience, and an
opportunity to come to a richer, deeper understanding of the
Catholic faith.

Hill Dance Academy Theatre Internship
Internship opportunities for rising 11th and 12th graders. Interns
will further their skills in the disciplines of Dance, Theatre,
Tech-Production, and Arts Management, learn and become
knowledgeable of how non-profit community arts programs function,
broaden their scope of career opportunities in the disciplines of
Dance, Theatre, Tech-Production and Administration and so much

2012 Freddie Fu Sports Medicine Summer
Internship
Six week summer internship at the UPMC Center for Sports
Medicine. Intern must have own transportation.
Recipient will have the opportunity to observe patient
evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation by physical therapists
and athletic trainers, ovserve clients in the Sports Performance
Department, and observe surgery with Dr. Fu.

instruction for the work place of the future.

The Conservation Leadership Corps (CLC) is a
leadership development and service-learning program for high school
students ages 14-18. The program is based on volunteer
service, environmental education, and leadership development.
Outdoor gear, food and camping equipment are provided for all
activities.

Apprenticeship in Classical Dance through the Pittsburgh
Ballet Theater. Students will be introduced to a variety
of performing arts careers with this behind the scenes look at
a professional ballet company. The apprenticeship includes 4
workshops at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre studios where students will
investigate the artistic, production, and administrative components
of the ballet through hands-on activities, such as a basic ballet
class (no dance experience necessary), interviewing PBT dancers,
observing rehearsal, and creating a playbill for younger students.
Students will also attend two ballet performances.
