Duquesne University Palumbo Donahue School of Business is offering a Accounting Summer Camp open to all high school students Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - Friday, June 13, 2008. The program cost is $200 and covers all books, activities, meals and materials. Please stop by the guidance offer to pick up a registration form. Registration deadline is June 6th.

Race for the Cure

Thanks to all the MAPS/SADD/BUSTED students who participated in the Race for the Cure on Sunday, May 11, 2008. I just received notice that there were in excess of 35,000 participants ( runners, walkers, volunteers, donors, support staff, survivors, etc.) Thanks again.

-All AP fees are due today Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Any payment made after April 22, 2008 incurs a cash late fee charged of $3.00 per exam.

-All seniors please continue to bring in copies of your college acceptance letters, denials and all scholarship awards received.

-The Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh has a part-time position open for a Human Resources Department Clerk. Position requirements include: Knowledge of Microsoft Word, with mail merge function preferred. Must be neat with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. PHEAA Federal Funding Program

As of March 7th, 2008 PHEAA announced that it would be temporarily suspending its activities as a Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) lender. Although PHEAA’s role as a lender will be temporarily suspended, its role as a guarantor and servicer of student loans will continue. The KeystoneBEST Lean Program will continue to offer discounted Stafford and PLUS loans to borrowers for the upcoming 2008-09 academic year.

Dear Sophomore/Junior Students, Parents, & Guardians:

The Guidance Department of Oakland Catholic and Kaplan Test Prep & Admissions is looking forward to our continued partnership to provide you with the opportunity to enroll in SAT Preparation classes beginning in January.

We will be offering two SAT preparation classes - one starting in January and the other starting in March. For your convenience the 12 session class will be held at Oakland Catholic High School, (Joan of Arc, Room J203 after school and Saturday mornings). Kaplan courses are backed by a higher score guarantee.
